Dolce&Gabbana Receives SBTi Validation for its Climate Targets
An important milestone in the Group’s Climate Action Journey
Dolce&Gabbana is pleased to announce that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has validated its greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, confirming their alignment with internationally recognised scientific criteria designed to support the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
This important achievement marks a significant milestone in the Group’s sustainability journey and further strengthens Dolce&Gabbana’s commitment to addressing climate change.
The Validated Targets
Dolce&Gabbana has established Near-Term decarbonisation targets for its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions (generated by its direct operations) aligned with a 1.5°C pathway. For Scope 3 emissions (generated across its value chain), the Group has adopted targets consistent with a well-below 2°C global warming scenario.
Specifically, Dolce&Gabbana commits to:
– reducing its absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by FY2035, compared with the FY2025 base year;
– reducing its absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from Purchased Goods and Services and Fuel- and Energy-Related Activities by 30% by FY2035, compared with the FY2025 base year.
A Journey Already Underway, Looking Towards the Future
Over recent years, Dolce&Gabbana has progressively strengthened its climate strategy through increasingly comprehensive monitoring of its carbon footprint and the implementation of initiatives aimed at reducing its environmental impact. Among the actions already undertaken are the increased use of certified renewable electricity, which accounted for 87% of the Group’s global electricity consumption as of 31 March 2026, investments in energy efficiency, and growing engagement with supply chain partners in emissions data collection and reduction activities.
Looking ahead, Dolce&Gabbana will continue to advance its climate transition roadmap by accelerating emissions reduction initiatives across both its direct operations and value chain. The Group will further strengthen collaboration with supply chain partners and expand the use of analytical tools, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies, to enhance its understanding of the climate impacts associated with its products and to identify the most effective decarbonisation levers.
