Dolce&Gabbana Sustainability | With Care - Ready to Wear 01

Ready to wear

Dolce&Gabbana garments are brought to life through a meticulously curated selection of materials, fabrics, and individual details, such as buttons, zippers, appliqués, and inserts

In each collection, continuous experimentation combined with artisanal craftsmanship, applied to parts or the entirety of the garment, is a concrete testimony to the preciousness and excellence of each individual piece.

Given the unique nature of each garment and the partial or complete handcrafted processes involved, it is possible to encounter creations within the same collection that display subtle differences from one another. This is particularly evident in the world of prints, where placement and cuts may vary, or in artisanal inserts such as lace, which might exhibit slight variations between pieces.

Additionally, the garment will naturally evolve over time, influenced by how often it is worn, washed, and cared for. Day by day, it reveals a new facet of its beauty. All these characteristics should be regarded as a testament to the uniqueness of each creation.

Depending on the composition of each piece and its distinctive features, specific cleaning and care measures are required to preserve its appearance, aesthetics, and functionality over time.

CLEANING

– Always follow the care instructions on the garment’s label when cleaning;
– For lace, hand washing is recommended exclusively for underwear and swimwear; otherwise, dry cleaning is advised;
– For garments made of chiffon, georgette, crêpe de chine, charmeuse, cady, satin, brocade, and twill, dry cleaning is the preferred method.

CLEANING TIPS

– In the event of stains, never use cleaning products, degreasers, or stain removers. Instead, take the garment to a specialized professional laundry service as soon as possible. After collecting it, remove the plastic covering and allow the garment to air out before storing it.

STORAGE

– Store the garment in a cool, well-ventilated area, ideally using a cotton garment cover;
– Avoid prolonged and direct exposure to sunlight, artificial light, and humidity;
– Ensure that items with different colors or materials (such as fabrics and leather) are not stored in contact to prevent stains, changes in appearance, or marks;
– Be particularly mindful when garments come into contact with bags or accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or pins. Attach and detach these with care to avoid damaging delicate materials such as lace, satin, tweed, chiffon, brocade, georgette, and organza.

STORAGE TIPS

– Avoid spraying perfumes, colognes, cosmetic products, or hairspray directly onto garments;
– Refrain from using or exposing garments to direct contact with mothballs.
