Lifecycle Circularity
DOLCE&GABBANA’S COMMITMENT TO THE RESPONSIBLE USE OF RESOURCES IS REFLECTED IN CONCRETE INITIATIVES TO RECOVER, REUSE AND RECYCLE MATERIALS ACROSS ITS PRODUCT LINES.
Making the most of resources is a principle rooted in Dolce&Gabbana’s craftsmanship. The brand develops projects to recover, reuse and recycle materials, from fabrics and garments held in stock to precious metals and production waste, combining design and production expertise to give materials a new life.

WASTE MANAGEMENT
Dolce&Gabbana is committed to reducing waste through the responsible use of raw materials and optimized production practices. In fiscal year 2025/26, the Group generated 1,475 tonnes of waste at its production sites, a 30% decrease compared with the previous fiscal year. Approximately half of this amount consisted of wastewater from in-house textile printing processes. The partial insourcing of the printing process has enabled greater control over waste management and disposal standards.
Excluding wastewater, nearly all waste is diverted to recovery, while only 0.2% is classified as hazardous. All waste is managed by authorized waste management providers, which are subject to rigorous environmental and social audits.
The Group’s sustainability journey includes significant steps to reduce waste generation across production sites, stores and at the consumer level. One concrete example is the development of guidelines for lower-impact packaging, based on the principles of Reduction, Recovery, Reuse and Recycling.
Recovery initiatives in the Ready-to-Wear line
In 2023, Dolce&Gabbana launched DG Recover, a programme designed to recover raw materials and garments held in stock, with the aim of giving them a new life. Leveraging the Company’s in-house tailoring expertise, the project seeks to reduce the use of virgin raw materials by enhancing the value of materials already available. Through this upcycling initiative, during fiscal year 2025/26 almost 5 tonnes of materials, including fabrics and linings, were recovered, together with more than 1,000 garments held in stock. Dolce&Gabbana has also introduced innovative automated cutting machines, eliminating the use of paper at this stage of the production process.
Recovery initiatives in the Leather Goods and Footwear line
In collaboration with a supplier from the Tuscan industrial district, Dolce&Gabbana launched an initiative to recover end-of-life products and industrial waste, with the aim of regenerating and reintegrating the resulting materials into new collections or production cycles. During fiscal year 2025/26, more than 6 tonnes of plastic shoe lasts were regenerated and reintroduced into production cycles.
Recovery initiatives in the Jewellery and Watches line
Dolce&Gabbana’s in-house atelier recovers materials from jewellery and watches that are no longer part of the current collections. Precious metals, such as gold, are refined and reintroduced into the production process in their pure form.
WATER
Dolce&Gabbana recognises the impact of the fashion industry on water consumption. In full compliance with applicable regulations on water use and discharge, the Company monitors water withdrawals and assesses water-related risks across its production sites using the Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas.
In fiscal year 2025/26, water withdrawals from production sites in Italy amounted to 57,565 m³, 18% of which occurred in areas classified as being at high water risk.
Circular Packaging: Refillable Beauty Products
Dolce&Gabbana has introduced a range of refillable fragrances, make-up, and skincare products, including Devotion Eau de Parfum Refillable, Q Eau de Parfum Refillable, and the Refillable Everfull XL mascara. These products are designed to be easily refilled with large-format bottles and simplified packaging, significantly reducing material usage.
